What does reading mean to you? My guess, if you’ve ended up here, is that it has some role in your life. Maybe you pick a few books a year and sit in the sand and the sun. Maybe you only read for school or work. Maybe you read because you miss class. Maybe its an escape or maybe its how you stay grounded.
No matter what it means to you as long as reading is part of your life, you’re more than welcome here.
And what about me? Well at some points in my life I would have said reading was everything. Now I’m not a teenager anymore so I don’t feel the need to be quite so dramatic. Of course, the thing about dramatic sentiments is they are rooted in some form of reality. I turn to books when I’m having a good day, a bad day, a long day. If I’m tired, if I’m bored, if I want to know more about something.
Well, what on earth do you read to cover all of those scenarios, you may ask? The truth is I read a little bit of everything. Probably more of some things (historical fiction for instance), but if you are a reader, I’m sure we can find something to talk about.
